Founded in 2001, Jiangyin Changda Iron & Steel Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the company) mainly produces screw-thread steel, band steel, wide and heavy plate and angle steel etc. of various specifications and models. The company belongs to one of China top500 enterprises, namely Jiangdu Xinchangjiang Group, which is located in the western golden lot of Jiangyin Economic Development Zone. With Yangtze River in the north and Changzhou city in the west, Jiangsu Xinchangjiang Group is just in the center of Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou, the most developed areas in Jiangsu Province, therefore, the group enjoys rather convenient transportations and unique location advantages.

Covering a land of 1000mu and more (about 666,660 sq.m), and with total building areas of 130,000sq.m, Changda Iron & Steel Co., Ltd is just situated in the center area of Xinchangjiang Group golden lot, between the Group’s No.2 and No.3 deepwater port public outer harbor docks, with Binjiang highway in the south, easy to access. Currently, Changda has a powerful economic strength, it has already had fixed assets of RMB1.5 billion, 2000 staffs, including over 180 engineering professional technicians, two 10-berth kiloton docks, one two-berth million-ton dock, 110,000V power supply lines and two step-down stations, also 100 and more various transport vehicles.

In addition, the company is equipped with five ribbed steel bar production lines mainly composed by advanced 450-550 continuous mills, one 550-650 short stress continuous rolling band steel production line, infrared cut-to-length shearing machine and large cooling bed etc.. With the perfect equipment, advanced techniques and complete testing measures, the company annually ?produces over 2 million tons Changqiang brand ribbed steel bars of HRB335, HRB400 and Φ10mm－Φ28mm, and various specifications of hot rolling band steel, which are well-sold all across China. What’s more, the products have been successively rated as “National Exemption Products”, “Jiangsu Brand-name Products”, “National Quality Inspection Eligible Products”, “Quality Trustworthy Products in Wuxi City”, “Zhejiang Key Project Construction Designated High-quality Products” and “National Consumer Trustworthy Products”.

The company adheres to the scientific development concept and the strategy of sustainable development and vigorously promotes product structure adjustment. The 2800 wide and heavy plate production line jointly installed and tested by CFHI (China First Heavy Industries), China No.20 Metallurgical Construction Co., Ltd, Tongji University and Northeast University was officially put into production in April, 2007. This production line is featured by advanced equipment, topping techniques and leading technologies and can stably produce million tons wide and heavy plates per year with width of 2,600mm and below and thickness of 6mm-120mm. The plates are of different specifications, materials and for different uses.

To further emancipate and broaden the mind, in 2007, the company introduced a hot rolling angle steel production line, which mainly produces various specifications and models of 4#-10# angle steel, with an annual production capacity of 500,000t.
